If anyone has had the pleasure of meeting Guy Kawasaki in person he is probably one of the most open, honest and sharp men I have come across in my short 35 years. it was rather fitting then, that I had the opportunity to sit down with him over Skype and discuss his career and the culmination of his success as a speaker, author, venture capitalist and evangelist.
Guy spoke candidly and humbly about how he became a one-word wonder in the entrepreneur and technology community. In fact, he doesn't even see himself that way. That said, his latest book Enchantment is a must read for anyone looking to influence people in an increasingly digital world. He takes principles from philosophy, technology world culture and religion and uses them as supporting points throughout the book. It's not just Guy's unique perspective though that sets his latest achievement apart, it is his voice. He shoots from the hip and when you are reading it, you feel as if you are in conversation with a friend.
I learned many surprising things about Guy during our interview. I asked some tough questions and some personal questions. He was gracious and funny, even agreeing to model the 5" stiletto I sent him that he said his wife even asked about. lol
Be sure to listen to find out how he's failed, his advice for married men and how he keeps a sense of humor through it all.
